Where the object (shaft) is measured with an infrared laser sensor to test the level of symmetry and the ongoing process of symmetry of the object (shaft). There are various types and methods of symmetry of an object (shaft) starting from using tools and a fully manualized process. In manually testing the level of symmetry, high accuracy is needed, the testing time and time for symmetry of the object (shaft) is too long, the test range as well as the process of symmetry and clear recording so that it can be reviewed again for the process of symmetry of the object (axis).

Maintenance and Reliability managers can remotely prepare alignment jobs in the alignment software and connect to the Cloud to transfer them to a ROTALIGN touch device, anywhere in the world. With Easy-Laser XT770 Shaft you can perform shaft alignment of horizontally and vertically/flange mounted machines, and align machine trains with an unlimited number of machines. You can also measure twist of foundation, soft foot, bearing clearance, and more.

2 axis PSDs (position-sensitive detectors) permits adjustment of your machine both vertically and horizontally at the same time, with measuring units in any position. We call it 360° Live adjustment.

The EasyTrend program allows you to keep track of machine movement over time, during operation. This is useful when checking for thermal expansion and pipe strain issues for example. This type of measurement requires special DM brackets which can be ordered separately.

Bore alignment with XT770
The Bore center program is used together with the Bore bracket kit (accessory) and its D75 laser transmitter. Either you use the XT70-M unit as detector, included with the XT770 system, or upgrade with the XT9 detector (accessory) to be able to measure smaller diameters. Different brackets can be used depending on the type of job. 

Use with any device
As all other XT systems, the XT770 can be used with the display unit of your choice. The XT Alignment app can be run on virtually any iOS or Android device*, or the Easy-Laser XT display unit.

Unique documentation possibilities
The XT display unit has a 13MP camera, and you can also get the it with a built-in IR camera as an option. This means you can add a thermal image of the machine before and after alignment. In the app you can easily create and share a PDF report containing all measurement data and images.

Easy-Laser E540 is a very powerful shaft alignment system, with the ideal balance between performance and price. Program that guides step-by-step with both icons and text makes the system very easy to use for everyone, regardless of prior knowledge.

The E540 system includes measurement programs for horizontal machines, vertical machines and alignment of machine trains with three machines.
The measuring units are pre-mounted for rapid machine set-up. Start with the measuring units positioned anywhere throug 360° around the shaft, then take any three readings down to 20° in-between. 2 axis PSDs (position-sensitive detectors) permits adjustment of your machine both vertically and horizontally at the same time, with measuring units in any position.

Laser transmitters for geometric measurements

XT20 Laser transmitter
Laser transmitter XT20 can be used to measure flatness and straightness. The laser beam can sweep 360° with a measurement distance of up to 20 metres [65´] in radius. The laser head is super stable, but still easy to turn. No need for locking/unlocking screw. The laser head fine turning knob makes it very easy to point the beam at the detector also on long distances (gear ratio 1:132).

We have installed electronic precision vials in the XT transmitters. This gives the advantage of faster feedback when levelling and less risk of errors during calibration, because all users see the same angular value (compared with reading spirit levels).

The XT transmitters have wireless connection to our XT Alignment App. This means that you get warning messages during measurement about events that can affect the result negatively, for example if the transmitter position might have been affected, or temperature changes inside the unit. We can also let the app guide you step-by-step when calibrating the levels before measuring.

The transmitter has many mounting options. The three super magnets can be mounted at many different positions on the transmitter, making it possible to also place the transmitter on a small surface, when needed.

The Multi-bracket (included) provides a lot of extra, versatile mounting possibilities, for example mounting on tripod, magnet bases, or rods to elevate the transmitter.

XT22 Laser transmitter
Laser transmitter XT22 can be used to measure flatness, straightness, squareness, level and parallelism. The laser beam can sweep 360° with a measurement distance of up to 40 metres [130´] in radius. The laser head is super stable, but still easy to turn. No need for locking/unlocking screw.

We have installed electronic precision vials in the XT transmitters. This gives the advantage of faster feedback when levelling and less risk of errors during calibration, because all users see the same angular value (compared with reading spirit levels).

The laser beam can be pointed perpendicular to the flatness plane, within 0.01 mm/m [0.01 mils/inch]. XT22 has a fine turning mechanism for the laser head with a gear ratio of 1:1320, which makes it super easy to point the beam at the detector also on very long distances.

The fiber-coupled laser creates an extremely smooth laser beam profile, free from reflections and irregularities. This means that the laser beam will have very good optical properties in terms of straightness (± 0.003 mm [± 0.12 mils]).

2 axis PSDs (position-sensitive detectors) permits adjustment of your machine both vertically and horizontally at the same time, with measuring units in any position. We call it 360° Live adjustment.

Dynamic measurement
The EasyTrend program allows you to keep track of machine movement over time, during operation. This is useful when checking for thermal expansion and pipe strain issues for example. This type of measurement requires special DM brackets which can be ordered separately.

Bore alignment with XT770
The Bore center program is used together with the Bore bracket kit (accessory) and its D75 laser transmitter. Either you use the XT70-M unit as detector, included with the XT770 system, or upgrade with the XT9 detector (accessory) to be able to measure smaller diameters. Different brackets can be used depending on the type of job. 

Use with any device
As all other XT systems, the XT770 can be used with the display unit of your choice. The XT Alignment app can be run on virtually any iOS or Android device*, or the Easy-Laser XT display unit.

Unique documentation possibilities
The XT display unit has a 13MP camera, and you can also get the it with a built-in IR camera as an option. This means you can add a thermal image of the machine before and after alignment. In the app you can easily create and share a PDF report containing all measurement data and images.

Choose your own display unit
System XT550 comes in two configurations; with or without the ATEX approved ecom Tab-Ex® display unit. The XT Alignment app runs on most iOS and Android units, as well as our own XT display unit. However, those are not allowed in potentially explosive areas, but makes for a perfect complement for use in other places.

The intuitive and affordable laser shaft alignment system

The TKSA 31 is SKF’s most affordable solution for easy laser shaft alignment. The ergonomic display unit with touch screen makes the instrument very easy to use and the built-in machine library helps storing alignment reports for multiple machines. Large sized laser detectors in the measuring heads reduce the need for pre-alignments and the embedded soft foot tool helps establish the foundation for a successful alignment. Additional functions are live view and automatic measurement. They support fast and effective alignment tasks and make the TKSA 31 an innovative laser shaft alignment tool that is affordable for almost every budget.

Easy measurements can be performed by using the well-known three position measurement (9-12-3 o’clock) with additional positioning flexibility of 40° around each measurement position.

High affordability is achieved by focussing on the standard shaft alignment process and essential functions to allow quick and effective shaft alignments.

"Automatic measurement” enables hands-free measurements by detecting the position of the heads and only taking a measurement when the heads are in the right position.

Automatic reports are generated after each alignment and can be customised with notes about the application. All reports can be exported as pdf files.

Live view supports intuitive measurements and facilitates horizontal and vertical machine position corrections.

The machine library gives an overview of all machines and alignment reports. It simplifies the machine identification and improves the alignment workflow.

The TKSA 31 is supplied in a sturdy SKF carrying case.
